Watching the Tell All!

That was intense! We all got together last night and watched the Seeking Sister Wife reunion episode (aka the Tell All) and we were not expecting that ending. We are saddened to hear about Vanessa leaving the Snowdens. We got to meet them in person after the tell all and thought they were a great family. We respect that Vanessa continued forward on her path and stayed true to herself and the journey she needed to follow.

Life is too short to not be happy! The choice is yours!

Many have thought that we only live this way because we feel we HAVE to. But that is not true. This life is a life of agency. We don’t HAVE to do anything that we don’t want to. We do have strong religious beliefs regarding plural marriage, but that does not mean we were forced into living this way by any means. This is not a lifestyle that is easy, as we’ve said before, but we all chose it and continue to choose it everyday. We respect each other and each other’s happiness, in creating our life together!

We are SO BLESSED!

After watching last night’s episode and reflecting on EVERYTHING that has happened since we chose each other, and chose to live this life together…We are SO BLESSED! We would choose each other a million times over!

Establishing our Relationships

It is true that when we first started filming, we were still establishing our relationships together. Throughout the season of filming, we continued to establish our family. Many have asked why we don’t live in the same house together. As human beings, no one likes change… and to choose to live a lifestyle that was completely out of the ordinary, there were so many adjustments and hurdles we experienced. We didn’t think it was smart to throw ourselves into the fire and hope for the best. We wanted to respect each other and allow the space needed to (at each other’s own pace) form strengthened bonds, without the pressure of “making it work”. We all made the choice to join one another. But that didn’t mean it had to be a certain way. We decided at every step, that we weren’t going to be the “stereotypical” polygamists. We were going to do what was right for us, whatever that meant.

To be one family, in one home! We can’t wait!

We have no doubt that we will go through more hurdles and more adjustments and possible discomforts of change as soon as we move into one household, but that doesn’t stop us from wanting that. And don’t for a second, think that we haven’t already thought how crazy it might be if both Tami & Sophie are pregnant, at the same time, in the SAME HOUSE! All of which we would be delighted to have, no matter how many hormones are involved 😉 (Sorry Colton!). But the thing is, even with how crazy our lives have been so far, and how many mountains we’ve climbed together…

We can’t wait to continue this journey together!
